cosinuss° Health Web
Connecting healthcare services
The future is connected and so cosinuss° aims to connect the fragmented healthcare services landscape as well by sharing patient data collected at various points with relevant stakeholders. One example is the interface between the ambulance service and the emergency room of a hospital. With cosinuss° Health Web*, the hospital and especially the emergency department can prepare for an incoming patient, as they already have access to the patient’s vital data. The times for triage as well as the preparation time for the necessary measures are minimized and the patient receives the fastest and best possible care.
Main features of the cosinuss° Health Web will be:
- Display and documentation of every patient’s data
- Assignment of monitored patients to wards/projects
- Access rights management
- Data access from anywhere and at any time
- Secure high-end cloud server in Germany
Built for use in the browser and integration into HIS
cosinuss° Health Web is run in a browser and is pre-designed for data integration into various HIS and other information systems.
Dashboard: Overview of all patients
The main screen of the cosinuss° Health Web is the “Dashboard”. Its main function is to display all data of every monitored patient in a tile-based view per patient.
Tile-based patient view
The main function of the tile is to display and update in real time the vital signs data of the respective patient. Based on the acquired vital signs of the patient, a so-called Deviation Score is continuously calculated and displayed as well. The Deviation Score indicates how far the current acquired vital signs deviate from the normal ranges of these parameters. A color coding of the displayed Deviation Score helps to quickly recognize larger deviations:
- Green or Black = All values are within normal range.
- Orange = Values of one or more parameters deviate slightly from the norm
- Red = Values of one or more parameters deviate significantly from the norm.
In addition to the vital signs and the Deviation Score, other important information about the patient, the treatment site and the sensor used can be found in the tile:
- Pseudonym of the patient
- Serial number of the sensor
- Battery status of the sensor
- Time since last received data point
- Label (can be used arbitrarily, e.g. name, treatment center or other information)
- Quality index (for assessing the validity of the heart rate)
- Perfusion index
Tiles are only displayed for patients who are currently being monitored. If monitoring is not ongoing, the tile will not appear.
Detail view per patient in the sidebar
When a patient is selected by clicking on a tile, the sidebar opens and offers a detailed view of the vital signs, including the pulse curve in a photoplethysmograph and the trends of the vital signs values. This can help to assess how the health status of this patient has changed over time and how it will develop in the short term.
Organization of access for nursing staff
Patients or monitoring sites can be grouped into projects. Only those nurses/persons who have the rights for a project can also see the patients in the project. For example, patients in a ward can be grouped together in a project, thus ensuring that the nurses monitor only those patients for whom they are responsible.
If one person has access to all projects, this person can overlook all patients in all projects.
If all patients are bundled into one project, the persons with rights for this project overlook all patients at the same time.
Secure High-End Cloud Server
All data of all patients are stored and processed in a structured manner in databases on special servers in Germany.
Standardized interfaces (REST and FHIR) and a configurable CSV export of individual data records or the entire project make further processing of the data efficient and flexible.
Secure server architecture
Our servers are located in Germany. Comprehensive protective measures ensure an extremely high level of virtual and physical security (including fire protection, access controls, protection against hacking attacks). This makes the servers ideally suited for the storage and management of medical data.
