The German Society for Military Medicine and Military Pharmacy (DGWMP) is hosting its 55th congress in Augsburg from November 14 to 16. With a focus on the “Medical Service as a Key Enabler of Alliance and National Defense”, the requirements for research, operational readiness and medical care will be discussed during the congress against the backdrop of current security policy developments. We look forward to presenting our mobile patient monitoring system at the accompanying industry exhibition.
Medical service as a key factor
The congress will focus on the role of the medical service as a key factor for operationally ready and resilient armed forces. It will discuss how training, research and medical care need to be adapted to the new challenges. The medical service is on the way to a new structure in order to maintain its central role in the future. The congress offers participants the opportunity to exchange ideas across nations, licenses and disciplines. In addition to the congress program, representatives from renowned medical technology and pharmaceutical companies will be on site as part of the accompanying exhibition.
Ultralight and mobile patient monitoring
Future challenges in medical care – cosinuss° contributes to this by providing mobile and very small and lightweight patient monitoring systems that ensure real-time vital data even in the most difficult situations. The 4.5 cm and 6.5 g in-ear sensor c-med° alpha, in combination with mobile or cloud applications for the smartphone, enables continuous monitoring of health-relevant vital parameters such as heart rate, core body temperature and oxygen saturation – crucial for situations where monitoring was previously not possible due to distance, weight, size or space. We look forward to presenting our innovative patient monitoring technology to the participants and showing how our solution can support the work of the emergency medical services in the future.

The German Society for Military Medicine and Military Pharmacy (DGWMP) has over 4,000 members. Its central concern is the professional development of its members of the Bundeswehr medical service. To this end, both digital offerings and regional group events, topic-specific working groups as well as conferences and congresses on various specialist areas are used. The DGWMP is a member of the Association of Scientific Medical Societies (AWMF) and works particularly closely with the German Society for Trauma Surgery.
