On October 26, the ZFG – Center for Mountain Medicine at the Immenstadt Clinic in cooperation with Bergwacht Bayern invites you to the 5th Allgäu Mountain Rescue Day. The symposium is aimed at mountain rescuers and emergency doctors. In addition to the renowned speakers and partners, we from cosinuss° will also be there. We look forward to presenting our solution for mobile patient monitoring, which has already been tried and tested several times in mountain rescue.

Use of modern technologies in mountain rescue

The program of the 5th Allgäu Mountain Rescue Day is made up of various focus topics. In addition to dealing with pain therapy in extreme situations, the program will also cover the rescue of blocked mountaineers and the use of modern technologies, such as AI and drones, in the “Medicine and Technology” topic block.

Ultralight and mobile patient monitoring

We are delighted to present our system for mobile patient monitoring to the mountain rescuers and emergency doctors in attendance – based on the 6.5 gram in-ear sensor, c-med° alpha, and the application for mobile devices, cosinuss° Health. In the app for smartphones and tablets, the measured vital parameters (SpO2, body temperature and pulse rate) as well as the perfusion and quality index of the person being monitored can be kept in view at all times in addition to the PPG curve. The monitoring technology has already been tested several times in various studies and pilot projects in air and mountain rescue. In addition, the mobile patient monitor is already being used by several European mountain rescue organizations.

More information about the organizers

The “Center for Mountain Medicine” – ZFG for short – was founded at Immenstadt Hospital at the beginning of May 2016 and is the only one of its kind in Germany. Due to its geographical location on the edge of the Allgäu Alps, the clinic treats numerous patients who suffer typical injuries or illnesses in the mountains.

The Mountain Rescue Foundation supports the Bavarian Mountain Rescue Service and ensures that sufficient resources are available for mountain rescue, nature conservation and disaster control in rough terrain. The focus is on preparing the organization professionally for the challenges of the future.
