Date: October 19 and 20, 2024
Language: German
Place: Wattener Lizum, Austria
On October 19 and 20, 2024, the Mountain Rescue Tyrol and the 6th Mountain Brigade invite the attendees to the “Symposium on Care Outside the Comfort Zone” in the Wattener Lizum, Austria. This event marks the anniversary of Tactical Alpine Medicine and provides a platform for exchange between different medical and tactical organizations. We are pleased to have been invited to present our ultralight and mobile patient monitoring solution.
Tactical alpine medicine – “outside the box”
Around ten years ago, the similarities between the military principles of medical care and the methods of mountain rescue were recognized. This realization gave rise to Tactical Alpine Medicine, an innovative blend of tactical and alpine medical concepts that has been further refined over the years. This philosophy has not only influenced the work of special units, but has also inspired mountain rescues beyond the borders of Tyrol. The symposium thus offers a unique opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience and to learn from each other – especially with regard to medical care in extreme situations, where thinking “outside the box” is an advantage.
Ultralight and mobile patient monitoring
cosinuss° will make a decisive contribution during the symposium by presenting our innovative technology for mobile patient monitoring. The c-med° alpha, an in-ear sensor with a weight of only 6.5 g and a size of 5.5 cm, enables continuous monitoring of vital parameters such as heart rate, body temperature and oxygen saturation. This real-time vital data can be life-saving in extreme situations where conventional monitoring was previously not possible due to weight, size or distance. In combination with a mobile application, cosinuss° offers a flexible and ultralight solution for medical use in challenging environments. We are looking forward to an exciting symposium and the opportunity to be part of this valuable network working together to optimize care in tactical alpine medicine.
