The Medical Technology research group has been awarded a major grant in the project “Innovative Motion Tracking Technologies in Medical Applications (INMOTION)” to advance groundbreaking research in the field of AI-assisted image and signal processing. cosinuss° is proud to be part of this groundbreaking project, which is being carried out in collaboration with various clinical and industrial partners.

Mastering the challenges of modern patient monitoring

The increasing importance of mobile vital data recording is opening up new, innovative avenues in medical technology. Health data can now be recorded in real time and monitored over longer periods of time, even remotely. In all of these applications, patient movement poses a major challenge, for example when sensors lose contact and can no longer measure adequately. This is where the Medical Technology research group comes in as part of the INMOTION project to overcome the challenges of motion correction during medical data acquisition.

A special feature of the INMOTION project is the close cooperation with a large number of different partners from research, healthcare, the medical technology industry and other sectors. For cosinuss°, participation in INMOTION is a promising opportunity to take part in further pioneering research and to exchange ideas with the project partners about the future of patient monitoring. We are happy to make our sensor technology available for the planned experiments.

More about the project

The funding from the Free State of Bavaria in the amount of €714,977 will enable the research group to investigate novel movement correction methods for vital data acquisition and innovative tracking technologies for body and organ movements in two sub-projects.
