c-med° alpha – Winner of the German Design Award Special Mention 2023
cosinuss° receives the German Design Award Special Mention 2023 for its excellent product design in the field of medical care and preventive healthcare.
In the c-med° alpha, intended as a medical measuring device1, the medical products company cosinuss° and the product designer Tilman Schröter combine the two most common conservative measuring devices, the thermometer and the pulse oximeter, into one sensor that can be worn in the ear.
The ergonomic sensor technology in small format enables the simultaneous measurement of the three most important vital parameters: Core Body Temperature, Heart Rate and Blood Oxygen Saturation (SpO2) continuously without interference. With this award winning sensor data in everyday life and in case of illness can be continuously collected to receive an objective data basis for evidence based decision making in diagnostics and therapy.
